From bike-a-thons to rodeos, golfing to skiing, and from the junior high athlete to the professional arena; the Northwest Texas Sports Medicine team provides these services and other special programs to variety of people in all walks of life. Traveling to more than 40 area schools each week, and to other special events as they occur, the Northwest Texas Sports Medicine team provides specialized service where the participant most wants to be: on the field and in the training room! Our Licensed Athletic Trainers provide on-site injury evaluation and treatment. They can determine whether or not an injured athlete should be allowed to return to the field of play or if he should first be examined by the team physician. Athletes with minor injuries, such as "simple" sprains and strains, may never need to see a doctor. Instead, our staff, under the direction of the team physician, may provide immediate and/or ongoing treatment as required by the injury. More serious injuries may require treatment by one of our doctors and/or clinical treatment and rehabilitation by our staff. Regardless of the nature of the injury, Northwest Texas Sports Medicine provides the best possible care in the most appropriate of settings. From the field, to the clinic, and back to the field; we're your team's team! |
